To be considered for nursing program admission, prospective applicants must complete the following:
Note: Your application to the Part-time Weekend & Evening Nursing program is separate from your application to General Studies with a concentration in Healthcare (Pre-Nursing).
Part-Time Weekend/Evening Nursing Program Requirements:
- Students must meet Maryville general education requirements in addition to the required nursing core classes
- A minimum of 63 credit hours of general education coursework, completed prior to beginning the program (prerequisites listed below)
- All science courses completed within seven years of acceptance to the program and the start of nursing coursework
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative and nursing core)
Prerequisites
- ENGL 101 – Writing I: The Writing Process
- Two elective courses in Humanities
- History or Government
- Psychology or Sociology
- Any remaining general electives needed to reach minimum of 63 credit hours
